Following the evaluation of its application, the Lower Durance Valley Study site was selected as Full Network Member of the European network'AGROECOLOGY Partnership’, an initiative funded by Horizon Europe. This network brings together Living Labs and research infrastructures committed to developing and accelerating the agroecological transition at the European level.
The AGROECOLOGY Partnership brings together 111 partners from 31 countries, with the aim of supporting an agricultural sector capable of addressing the challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, food security, and environmental conservation, while maintaining sustainable and economically viable agricultural systems.
This recognition highlights the role of the Lower Durance Valley Study site as long-term monitoring station and real-world testing platform, dedicated to the study and development of agroecological solutions in Mediterranean horticultural systems.
Joining this network offers an opportunity to strengthen exchanges with other European Living Labs, develop new scientific collaborations, and actively contribute to European efforts to promote the agroecological transition.
