A new generation of solutions to protect crops<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Effectively protect crops from pests and diseases while significantly reducing the use of chemical pesticides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ambition of the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The NextGenBioPest project is developing a new generation of methods for protecting fruit and vegetable crops. The goal is to offer effective and sustainable alternatives to conventional pesticides for controlling major pests and pathogens, while drastically reducing their use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A comprehensive toolkit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The project is developing a set of innovative and complementary solutions with low environmental risk:<\/p>\n\n\n\n An integrated and validated approach<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n These innovations are not intended to replace all existing practices. They aim to integrate intelligently into existing practices through comprehensive and sustainable strategies for protecting fruit and vegetable crops. They are being tested on a large scale in the field, with rigorous evaluation of their agronomic effectiveness and socioeconomic impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From the laboratory to the fields<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To ensure that these solutions are adopted by farmers and professionals, the project relies on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n A major European collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NextGenBioPest brings together a multidisciplinary team of researchers, industrialists, and field workers. This diversity of expertise, resources, and networks ensures that the knowledge and tools developed will have a concrete economic, ecological, and societal impact.
