They observe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Which natural predators are present and how their abundance and diversity change from year to year;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How the plants present (flower strips, weeds) encourage these beneficial organisms;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether certain types of landscapes or agricultural practices allow for more stable predator communities from one year to the next<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why is this important?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The objective is to determine which combinations of agricultural practices and landscape features can sustainably maintain the \u201cfree services\u201d of pest control provided by naturally occurring beneficial insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Expected benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By understanding what stabilizes crop pest control communities over the long term, STABI-REG helps to propose concrete solutions for sustainably reducing the use of plant protection products while maintaining plot productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
